The Wheaton Wings are back as the Wheaton Park District’s new competitive travel soccer club!
The Wheaton Wings were in existence from 1978 until the fall of 2003 then merged into the Chicago Fire Juniors. After four outstanding years of partnership, the Chicago Fire Juniors then merged with Naperville Lightning. In response to an overwhelming interest from Wheaton Park District residents, we’re bringing the Wheaton Wings back to play competitive soccer against other “select” traveling clubs in northern Illinois.
The Wings will field U8 to U14 girl’s teams to compete in the Illinois Women’s Soccer League (IWSL) and U8 to U14 boy’s teams to compete in the Northern Illinois Soccer League (NISL). Team rosters are finalized in June 2008 to compete in both the Fall 2008 and Spring 2009 seasons.
