Wheaton Wings Tryouts
Looking for more competitive soccer? Come join the Wings, Wheaton’s very own Soccer Club. The Wheaton Wings Soccer Club is looking for players for the Fall 2013-Spring 2014 travel soccer season. Each Wings team is provided advanced training from a professional licensed staff member of the Future Pros organization, run by program director Ruben Stivan. Trainers run all practices and games. The parent assistant coach assists trainers as needed at training sessions and games.

High School Tryouts U15-U18
The Wheaton Wings High School boys’ soccer program is offered to high school aged boys who want to play during the spring season. Each team will have a pre-season five day camp with a professional trainer from the Future Pros organization at the beginning for the spring season. Teams will then train three times a week for 10 weeks and participate in the spring Northern Illinois Soccer League (NISL). These teams will also participate in two tournaments during the spring season. Each team will participate in a winter training session, one time a week for 11 weeks, with a Future Pros trainer starting in January on a Friday night, Saturday or Sunday. The price of this program includes an eight game NISL league season, two tournaments, 11 winter training sessions and trainer fees. The cost of the uniform is not included in the fee. Teams may decide on a team-by team basis to play in an indoor league during the winter season which will result in an additional fee.
This Wheaton Wings High School girls soccer program is offered to high school age girls who want to play during the fall season and train in the winter. These team will have a preseason five day camp with a professional trainer from the Future Pros organization. Teams then train three times a week for 13 weeks and participate in the fall Illinois Women’s Soccer League (IWSL). These teams also participate in two tournaments during the fall season. Each team participates in a winter training session, one time a week for 11 weeks, with a Future Pros trainer starting in December on a Friday Night, Saturday or Sunday. The price of this program includes a ten game IWSL league season, two tournaments, 11 winter training session and trainer fees. Winter training will take place in a middle school gym. If a team wishes to train at a turf facility, this will be an additional cost. The cost of the uniform is not included in the fee. Teams may decide on a team by team basis to play in an indoor league during the winter season which will result in an additional fee.

Wheaton Wings Competitive Travel Soccer Club 2012-2013 Highlights:
- Wheaton Wings has a new payment plan option. $200 initial payment in May or June, 1/3 payment in August, 1/3 payment in October and final 1/3 payment due in January.
- Wheaton Wings offer partial scholarships for players that qualify. Leisureship (Scholarship) Program
- Wheaton Wings will have weekly goalie trainings in the fall and spring seasons. Goalie training will not meet on holiday weekends or tournament weekends.
- A team that is playing at a high level, or a team that is playing at an older age group, may be selected to train three times a week as a team for an additional cost.
- Each team will receive a five day preseason camp in the beginning of August.
- Each team will participate in a winter training session, one time a week for 11 weeks, with a Future Pros trainer starting in the beginning of January.
- New Junior Wings Academy for ages 5-7 starting in fall 2012. Look for information in fall brochure and check back to this website.
- Future Pros Trainers will be providing a stronger focus on foot skills.
- Wheaton Wings Club Outings:
- Wheaton Warrenville South vs. Wheaton North High School Game
- Pre-Season Pool Party and Ice Cream Social at Rice Pool
- Community Service Projects, such as the participation in the Wheaton Chamber of Commerce Stuff-A-Truck Event.
- Wheaton Wings Soccer Club is running a spring tournament May 18-20, 2012.
- Parent Manager and Parent Assistant Coach Involvement.
- New Player Evaluation – Written and short (5 min.) meeting between trainer and parent/player to discuss the player evaluation.
